If you want to know who God is watching out for, the Bible tells you by name, over and over: the widow, the fatherless, and the stranger. The three people with no one to speak for them. James goes so far as to say that caring for them is what pure religion looks like.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
James' definition of religion has two parts, and the first one is visiting widows and orphans in their affliction. Doctrine does not make the list.
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
Two titles for God in one line: father of the fatherless, judge of the widows. He takes the side of the ones without a side.
Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
'Learn to do well' is followed immediately by what doing well means: relieve, judge, plead, for the oppressed, the fatherless, the widow.
He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
God's care for the stranger is described in the most ordinary terms possible: food and raiment. Dinner and a coat.
And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
The widow, the fatherless, the stranger, the poor, in one sentence, with one instruction: do not oppress them.
