Scripture beyond Sunday
For many, scripture comes once a week: the sermon, the hymns, coffee in the fellowship hall. Then Monday comes, and the week fills up fast.
The Official Bible Solitaire® carries a verse into the other six days. It isn’t a reading plan to keep up with, or one more thing on your list. It’s one verse, tucked into a few minutes you were already going to spend.
It fits the day you already have
Solitaire is already part of the day for millions of people: with the morning coffee, on a lunch break, in the quiet before bed. We didn’t want to ask anyone to build a new habit. We wanted to bring a verse to the one they already keep.
That only works if the game is worth coming back to, so we made a good one. Flip 1 or Flip 3. Deals that can always be won, for an easy morning. A true shuffle, for a real challenge. Come back for the game, and before long a daily verse is simply part of your day.
Nothing over the top
Scripture isn’t decoration, so we don’t use it as decoration. You won’t find religious words stuck onto the timer, the score, or the buttons. Your time is your time, and a win is a win.
The faith lives where it belongs, in the verse itself. Everything else is simply a good game of solitaire, made with care.
The verse is the reward
Win the Daily Blessing and the day’s verse appears on the open Bible on your win screen. Tap it to read the whole passage, then share it with someone who could use it today.
A verse that arrives as the reward for a win gets a moment of real attention. You worked a little for it, so you read it.
Is it all right for a Christian to play cards?
It’s a fair question. Some of us grew up in homes where a deck of cards meant gambling, and cards stayed out of the house. We understand that.
Solitaire is a quiet game for one. There’s no betting of any kind: just a little patience, a little strategy, and in this game, a verse at the end.
For your church or small group
Every week we post a free verse of the week: a Sunday verse, a Wednesday companion, a bulletin insert, and verse cards to print. You’ll also find 450 printable verse cards and verse collections by topic. All of it is free for personal, church, and small-group use.
