Zechariah 8:16 · King James Version
These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates.
Truth spoken to your neighbor. Justice administered truthfully. These are community obligations, not just personal virtues.
- Question
- Where is there truth without love, or love without truth, in your speech?
- This week
- Tell one hard truth kindly.
Wednesday · Ephesians 4:15
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
Truth spoken without love is cruelty. Love spoken without truth is flattery. Both are required.
