Verse of the week · Week of February 21, 2027
Sunday's verse is Luke 12:15; Wednesday's companion is 1 Timothy 6:17-18. Print the bulletin insert for your church, the cards for a midweek group, or just keep one on the fridge.

“And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”
Luke 12:15

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;”
1 Timothy 6:17-18
Everything here is free to reproduce: bulletin inserts, handouts, slides, newsletters. Letter or A4. Use card stock for the cards if you have it.
Luke 12:15 · King James Version
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Wednesday · 1 Timothy 6:17-18
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
Paul's instruction to the rich is not to feel guilty but to do something: be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to share.
