John 13:34-35 · King James Version
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Not doctrine, not ritual, not political affiliation. Love is the mark by which Christians are to be known.
- Question
- How would a stranger know your group belongs to Jesus?
- This week
- Love someone in your group in a way that costs you something.
Wednesday · 1 John 4:11
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
The logic is simple and inescapable. Having been loved like that, we owe the same outward, not back.
