Verse of the week · Week of June 6, 2027
Sunday's verse is Matthew 6:24; Wednesday's companion is 1 Timothy 6:10. Print the bulletin insert for your church, the cards for a midweek group, or just keep one on the fridge.

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”
Matthew 6:24

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
1 Timothy 6:10
Everything here is free to reproduce: bulletin inserts, handouts, slides, newsletters. Letter or A4. Use card stock for the cards if you have it.
Matthew 6:24 · King James Version
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Not 'it is difficult' to serve both. Ye cannot. That's a statement of impossibility, not a suggestion.
Wednesday · 1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Note what is said — not money itself, but the love of it. And the consequence: erred from the faith.
